Besides 35 high-quality oral presentation given by young researchers from various Dutch institutes, we had a clinical focus session with two inspiring lectures by Prof. Harry van Goor (Radboudumc Nijmegen) and dr. Karin Gerritsen (UMC Utrecht). The keynote lecture was held this year by Prof. Alvaro Mata (University of Nottingham) entitled "Supramolecular strategies to turn biomolecules into functional materials and devices". Additionally, we had an invited contribution by Prof. Raymond Schiffelers (UMC Utrecht) from the Controlled Release Society on Friday morning as the opening lecture. Finally, we organized a Corporate Lunch Event where representatives of dutch companies (CytoSMART Technologies, HCM Medical, Kuros Biosciences, Medace) shared their experience in an informal discussion with young researchers.
This year, also the Award for Best Thesis over 2017-2019 was chosen. The thesis committee was comprised of dr. Vito Conte (Eindhoven University of Technology), dr. Jai Prakash (University of Twente), dr. Fang Yang (Radboudumc), dr. Guide Krenning (University of Groningen), and dr. Petra de Graaf (UMC Utrecht) and chose the thesis of dr.
